In 2023 my travels and relationships informed much of this body of work. Companionship and isolation, through cityscapes, foreign places, and portraits of people I love. 

This ongoing exploration has culminated in a thematic focus I call "The Hyperreality of Memory," which annunciates  the emotional exaggeration of new experiences. In this body of work, I examine how memories are often heightened, distorted, and fragmented over time, shaping our understanding of identity and relationships in a way that feels more vivid than reality itself. 

In my studio today, I continue to expand upon this research, pushing the boundaries of how memory can be represented through oil painting. As I explore new techniques and concepts, I’m excited to see where this evolving journey will lead me throughout the year.
