In 2023, my work was deeply shaped by my travels and relationships, capturing themes of companionship and isolation through foreign places, cityscapes, and portraits of loved ones. This series of paintings delves into fragmented memories and experientations with painting process itself.

This year I attempted to harness the ‘now’ by painting past moments through the influence and lens of the present– and being unintentional about what that would look like. I was surprised to find that this changed the narrative of each work more than I anticipated.
